JRS Horse Transport and Training ("JRS," "we," "us," or "our") operates this website and provides horse transport and training services from Marana, Arizona. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what choices you have.

We are a small, family-operated business. We collect only what we need to quote a haul, arrange transport safely and legally, and stay in touch with you about it. We do not sell your personal information.

When you submit our contact or transport request form, we ask for:

• Your first and last name

• Your email address

• Your phone number

• Requested pickup date and delivery date

• Pickup location and delivery location

• Number of horses needing transport

• Any special requirements or considerations for your horse or horses

If you subscribe to our email list, we collect your email address.

Information You Give Us When You Book Transport

 

Booking transport requires considerably more detail than the website form, because we cannot transport a horse safely or legally without it. Our Horse Transportation Agreement collects:

• Your details — name, phone, email, and mailing address

• Two emergency contacts — name, phone number, and relationship to you

• Your primary veterinarian — clinic name and phone number

• A destination contact — name, phone number, and destination address

• Horse details — name, age, sex, breed, color and markings, approximate weight, and microchip, brand, or tattoo where applicable

• Health and behavioral disclosures — medical conditions, injuries, medications, pregnancy, and any loading or handling difficulties

• Health documentation — certificates of veterinary inspection, Coggins results, brand inspections, and permits required for your route

Information About Other People

 

Emergency contacts, veterinarians, and destination contacts are other people. By giving us their details, you confirm you have their permission to do so, and that they would expect us to contact them for the purposes described here.

We use these details only to reach the person in connection with your horse's transport. We do not add them to any mailing list.

Information We Collect During Transport

• Location data. Our vehicles use GPS tracking. Where available for your trip, we may share a tracking link with you.

• Interior trailer camera footage. Our trailers have interior cameras used by the driver to monitor horses in transit.

• Condition records. At loading and delivery we record the horse's condition, any existing injuries noted, equipment received and delivered, and signatures from the person loading and the person receiving.

• Photographs. We may photograph horses during transport for status updates to you.

Information Collected Automatically on the Website

 

This site is built on the Wix platform. When you visit, Wix and its analytics tools automatically collect standard technical information, including your IP address and approximate general location, browser and device type, which pages you viewed and for how long, and the site or search that referred you.

This information is aggregated and used to understand how the site performs. We do not use it to identify individual visitors.

How We Share Your Information

 

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only in these situations:

Service providers. Each receives only what it needs to do its job:

• Wix — hosts this website, stores form submissions, and provides our contact and invoicing tools

• Google — provides our business email and website analytics

• Our payment processor — processes card payments and issues receipts

 

Veterinarians and veterinary facilities. If your horse requires attention during transport, we share the information needed to obtain care, as authorized under Sections 20 and 21 of our Horse Transportation Agreement.

Emergency and destination contacts. The people you designate, for the purposes you designated them.

Transport partners. If we arrange for a partner hauler to carry your horse, we share the information needed to complete that transport safely.

​

Shared transport. Where horses belonging to different owners travel together, we do not share your personal information with the other owners.

​

Legal requirements. We will disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of a person or an animal, or to protect our legal rights.

Business transfer. If the business is sold or transferred, customer records may transfer with it. You would be notified.

Payment Information

 

Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor. We never see, handle, or store your full card number. Card details are entered directly with the processor, which maintains its own security standards and its own privacy policy.

 

We receive only confirmation that a payment succeeded, the amount, and the last few digits of the card.

Data Retention

• Transport records — contact details, horse details, health documentation, signed agreements, and condition records — are kept for as long as needed to run the business and satisfy insurance, tax, and livestock transport recordkeeping obligations, generally a minimum of four years.

• Interior camera footage is retained only briefly in the normal course. Where an incident occurs during transport, relevant footage is retained until the matter is fully resolved.

• GPS route data is retained as part of the transport record.

• Inquiries that never became a booking are kept for up to two years and then deleted.

• Email list subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.

Security

 

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. The site uses SSL encryption, our accounts are password-protected, and access to customer records is limited to the people who need it.

No method of transmitting or storing information over the internet is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and we encourage you not to send sensitive information such as financial account numbers through the website contact form.

Your Choices and Rights

 

You may at any time:

• Unsubscribe from our emails using the link at the bottom of any message, or by replying and asking

• Ask what we hold about you, and we will tell you

• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong

• Ask us to delete your information, subject to the records we are legally required to keep

• Ask us not to use images of your horse publicly, and we will honor that

• Opt out of text messages by replying STOP

 

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy law, including in California. We honor these requests regardless of where you live. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within thirty days.

Children's Privacy

 

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under thirteen. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
