Accessibility
Last updated: August 20, 2026
JRS Horse Transport and Training is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. Horse owners come from every walk of life, and nobody should have to struggle with a website to arrange transport for their animal.
The Standard We Work Toward
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines are the widely accepted international standard for making web content accessible to people with visual, hearing, motor, and cognitive disabilities.
We describe this as an ongoing effort rather than a finished achievement, because that is the honest position. Accessibility is something we maintain as the site changes, not something we completed once.
What We Have Done
To make this site more accessible, we have:
-
Written descriptive alternative text for images so screen readers can convey what they show
-
Used clear heading structure so the page can be navigated by heading rather than read start to finish
-
Checked that text and background colors meet contrast requirements for readability
-
Made the site work with keyboard navigation, so a mouse is not required
-
Ensured every form field has a visible, properly associated label
-
Built the site to work at any screen size and to remain readable when text is enlarged
-
Written page content in plain, direct language
This site is built on the Wix platform, which provides built-in accessibility features and an accessibility checker that we use when we make changes.
Known Limitations
We want to be straightforward about where the site may still fall short:
-
Our Horse Transportation Agreement and other forms are provided as PDF documents. PDFs are frequently difficult to use with screen readers and can be hard to complete for anyone with a visual or motor disability. We know this is a real barrier. See "Documents and Paperwork" below for how we handle it.
-
Photographs in our gallery are decorative. We have described them, but photographs of horses and equipment carry detail that text cannot fully convey.
-
Third-party tools, including our contact form, email signup, and payment processing, are provided by outside companies. We have chosen providers that take accessibility seriously, but we do not control their code and cannot guarantee every element meets Level AA.
-
Maps and location tools, where used, come from third-party providers with their own accessibility characteristics.
If you run into a barrier we have not listed here, we would genuinely like to know. Reports from real users are the most useful information we get.
Documents and Paperwork
Booking transport requires paperwork, including a signed transportation agreement and health documentation. If any of it is difficult for you to read, complete, or sign:
-
We will read the agreement to you over the phone, in full, and answer any question about it
-
We will fill the form in with you over the phone and send it back for signature only
-
We will accept the agreement in any reasonable alternative format
-
We will accept an electronic signature, or arrange another workable method of signing
Just tell us what works for you. There is no process to apply for and nothing to justify.
If You Need Help
You never have to use this website to work with us. If any part of the site is difficult for you, contact us directly and we will take your request by phone, text, or email and handle everything for you personally. Every service on this site — requesting a haul, getting a quote, asking a question — can be done in a conversation instead.

Giving Us Feedback
If you encounter an accessibility problem, please tell us. It helps to include:
-
The page or section where it happened
-
What you were trying to do
-
What went wrong
-
The browser, device, or assistive technology you were using, if you know it
We aim to respond within three business days. Some issues we can fix quickly; others depend on a third-party provider, and in those cases we will tell you honestly what we can and cannot change, and offer another way to get what you need.
Ongoing Review
We review this site's accessibility when we make significant changes to it, and we update this statement to reflect what we find.
